My design for Hemline for Hearts

 is an elegant and simplistic design that really has most the focus on the woman or model itself. I plan to do this by having a strapless bustier with boning and underwire to perfectly accentuate a woman's curves from the chest down to her waist. I also have draping over the hips to allow extra volume to the hips therefore alluding to a more hourglass figure with an accentuated waist. I also added a high slit in the front to add drama and movability. The star piece of my design however is the heart located on the hip. The heart is split open and it turns itself into the dress at the slit seamlessly. I designed this to represent how our hearts allow us to take each and every step and that we as women should appreciate this and acknowledge this as we continue to take care of our bodies and our hearts. Hemline for hearts is about awareness and what better way to bring awareness about women's heart disease than having a heart planted right at the front of my dress. In conclusion my dress represents strength, power, love, courage, and awareness and I hope women are inspired by my design as well as moved by the meaning behind it.
