Creating for the elder population. I wanted to create warm and welcoming patterns that would remind elders of their youth. Nóstos álgos is the greek origin of the word nostalgic homecoming. I wanted to target elders who struggle with dementia, loneliness, and physical/emotional trauma. By creating patterns that heavily represent designs popular in the 60’s through the 70’s, I aspired to celebrate the beauty of the past while brining back patterns they fancied in their prime.
