Textile Versitility

Textile Versatility is all about experimenting with various textiles and finishing techniques. Thought this project I became much more comfortable with cutting and playing with different fabrics.

This first design resembles a bouquet of flowers. It was created by layering various textiles with unique textures and movements. The pieces were attached loosely using embroidery thread and extra embroidery and beading was used as finishing techniques.

This third design is a cherub angel embroidered on denim and wool. I used multiple embroider techniques to create these two design, and different embroidery thread colors were used to create depth.

This third design in inspired by the classic Blue Willow design. I incorporated Blue Willow's classic colors and symbols. I created these designs using a stencil along with oil paint stocks on cotton and denim material.
